6/24/08 - After repairing the battery tray - took the car out for a test drive.  Rotors need to be replaced and I think that

the front left CV joint is bad.

6/6/08 - Repairing the battery tray.

1/13/08 -    Did a short test run to around 40 mph.  Need to check more things out.

1/8/08  -   Finished the  new steel seat supports.   Primed.  Need to put back together and to

finish fixing the signal lights for a higher speed testing soon!

Questions on the Electrek:

I need to figure out what cars supplied the following for replacement parts:

Windshield

Thanks for the info on the tail lights - Chevy Monza 75-80

Thanks again for telling emailing me!!

1/7/08 -    Brakes (I Think) are  fixed.

12/28/07 - Replace the brake line on one side but, the other side is bad also.  Decided to put the wheels

back on and get it in the garage to work on it since the weather outside is very much winter

I drove the car into the garage without brakes.  Tore out most of the exterior since it was

a  swimming pool inside steel components rusted.   Bottom of seats need replacing along

with a lot of the uphostery.

11/24/07 -  Put the car on jacks. We then put  8 - 12V batteries in it.  Fired it.  It did not work.

Check other things out such as the battery charger - works

In playing - I pushed the relay in and it showed signs of life and the wheels did go

around.  Next get the brakes working and do an actual test drive.

My first EV at 3 years Old:

Pontiac Junior Star Chief Convertible

(from the Thursday, December 22,1955 edition of "The Sauk-Prairie Star")

We still have this car but, someday will get a makeover after 51 years of kids and storage.

Still remember driving it in our basement and punching holes in the sheet rock with the pointy bumper.

The car got a lot of use.  100's of kids drove or rode this car. We went thru many wheels, batteries, etc.  Drove it in the 4th of July Parade in Witwen, WI a few times.
