MERR.COM NATIONWIDE NUMBERS

 Merr.com has partnered with several national network access companies with over 14,000 dial-up numbers throughout the U.S. and Canada in order to provide our customers with internet access even when they travel or move to a new location. There is no extra charge to Merr.com unlimited dial-up customers who are traveling and cannot use their normal access number. Nationwide dial-up access is limited to 150 hours per month. (Additional 150 hour periods may be purchased for $9.95.) Do you live inside the Merr.com unlimited dial-up area?

Merr.com provides connections to our modem pools, in all our locations, to all our customers. However, please be aware that there may be per call or time usage charges from your local telephone company for using their lines to access Merr.com’s modem pools. Please check with your local phone company before you connect to Merr.com to find out if there will be a charge by them for time or calls made by you to our listed numbers or Merr.com’s modems. These charges are from your local telephone company to you for their service and Merr.com assumes no responsibility for these charges. Merr.com will give no payments, reimbursement, or credits for any telephone charges you incur for dialing modems. If you have any questions about your local call service area, check with your local telephone company before logging on.

HOW TO USE NATIONWIDE DIAL-UP NUMBERS

1. Change your dial-up number. In your Dial-up, enter the nationwide dial-up number you want to dial.

2. Change your username. In your Dial-up, change your username to username@merr.com. For example, if your username is jsmith, change it to jsmith@merr.com.

3. Change your email program to require outgoing mail authentication.

Outlook Express
a. Click on Tools, then on Accounts tab, and highlight mail.merr.com.
b. Click on Properties, then on the Servers tab, and for Outgoing Mail Server, check the box "My server requires authentication."
c. Then, click Settings, choose "Use same settings as my incoming mail server," and click OK.
d. Finally, click Apply, then OK, and close the Internet Accounts box.
