|
| Welcome to the Cook Farms Home Page.
COOK FARMS is a family farm in the Baraboo River Valley. In 1846 Orange Cook came to the Baraboo Valley as a pioneer farmer. It has been a family operation ever since. The farm is presently operated by Franklin Cook and Frank Cook, Jr. It is over 225 acres. Corn, soybeans and other crops are raised. The livestock operation includes farm-raised hybrid red deer and elk, beef, and hogs. Since 1956 Frank has been flying and doing aerial photography. The farm has its own registered airstrip. Early historians noted several Indian Mounds on the homestead and named them Cook Mounds. They are preserved to this day and are registed as historic sites. |
